Maryland chancellor, George Mason president among the top-paid at public universities

Maryland state university Chancellor William E. Kirwan and George Mason University President Alan G. Merten ranked among the top 10 public university leaders in total compensation in 2009-10, according to an annual Chronicle of Higher Education survey.
